Pair of 19th century gilt bronze dog andirons, the dogs are near a canton ball of which they were the guardians of the temple, placed on an openwork bronze base.
These are decorative andirons and can also be mounted with an iron rod for use as fireplace andirons.
The andirons are typically Asian.
